Research and Surveys
Introduction
Research and surveys have played an important role in the right to food campaign from the beginning (an informal survey in rural Rajasthan was used to support the original Public Interest Litigation filed by PUCL in April 2001). For instance, field surveys and social audits have been used to assess the status of food entitlement programmes and monitor the implementation of Supreme Court orders. The material available in this section includes survey reports, sample questionnaires, survey guidelines, social audit reports, and a series of articles on various aspects of the right to food.
